No longer re-discovering what I already knew

I’ve had these agents running on schedule for 5 months now. Each uses a different model and writes a markdown file I can review and edit. With each significant model release I update them, and Fable 5 did the biggest rewrite.

I have a paper trail of all my activity and thoughts I can search. The difference it’s made for me is I no longer feel like I’m re-discovering what I already knew. Cowork can pull it up with a simple query, and so can any other agent with access to my folder system.

As my views have changed on AI, from assistant back in 2025 and before when it was all chat based, to tool that can be programmed in 2026, I’ve had to go back through all my website posts about it so I could cite myself and see the drafts leading up to those posts.

I had a trail because I had notes, drafts, revisions, and then the final published copy. There was nothing to run and hide from, just the info I could align and then write the post on why and how my views changed.

The main issue is items getting filed in a new folder rather than using the existing ones. Unsure what caused that - full context window, model or effort choice, or lack of clear skill file. It’s easy enough to clean up myself in ten minutes of looking.
